Lakefront Festival of Art, Milwaukee, WI
Please join us for the Lakefront Festival of Art in our magnificent setting at the Milwaukee Art Museum. The award-winning, nationally-recognized festival takes place inside the museum's spectacular Santiago Calatrava-designed building, as well as the adjoining outdoor museum grounds featuring our state of the art LARGE Clearspan tents. Patrons enjoy the festival rain or shine! LFOA features the jury-selected work of 180 artists from across the country, and is a fund raiser for the Milwaukee Art Museum.
In 2016 marketing and media coverage accounted for a total of 19+ million impressions with social media posts reaching 3K LFOA Facebook friends, 69K Milwaukee Art Museum Facebook followers, 20K Milwaukee Art Museum Instagram followers and 48K Twitter followers. The LFOA website saw 76K page views, with 22K unique users, and 64.2% new page visitors. Last year's festival attendance had over 22,000 gated qualified visitors.
A total of $10,500 in awards are presented to LFOA exhibiting artists each year! The top (10) award-winning artists are automatically invited back to LFOA for the next year without jurying and receive a commemorative piece of artwork specifically designed for them by a fellow LFOA exhibiting artist.
