Mainstage Center For the Arts, Blackwood, NJ
Mainstage Center for the Arts, established in 1989, serves South Jersey by providing a nurturing environment for youth and adults to explore the performing arts. Initially offering a summer theater program, it expanded to year-round activities due to its success. Renamed Mainstage Center for the Arts in 1997, the organization operates without owning a theater, instead partnering with local entities for venues. Mainstage's programs annually reach over 20,000 audience members and serve over 1,000 children directly through classes and workshops. Recognized as one of the best performing arts centers in South Jersey, Mainstage is funded through grants, sponsorships, memberships, and contributions. It aims to enrich the community and promote arts education and appreciation.
