Tips for Learning How to Watercolor Tip #1 Paint Tiny

Welcome to your first "How to Watercolor" Tip!

Use this suggestion to practice watercoloring daily. Practicing tiny is the easiet way to set aside time to practice small paintings, while improving your skills.

The small journal I keep above is 4 x 3 and I have glued in a piece of watercolor paper that is 3 x 2 with paper cement, which is an acid free adhesive that does not wrinkle, curl or shrink. It is by Speedball and designed just for ahearing paper.

I pick small subjects and I allow 30 minutes a day to practice. So, when I'm busy, I know I can still commit. Obviously practicing is best tip of all. Keep it tiny and watch your skills skyrocket. You'll see the difference by the record you leave behind in your tiny journal.

Happy Painting!
