In my twenties I worked side by side with him in a shop in Ridgefield Connecticut called Five Gold Rings putting my own creative spin on designing. But let me take you back even before that...the business was started in a little tiny shed at the side of a river in Georgetown, Connecticut. Full bearded, with folk music softly coming from his record player, often singing along with the music,you would find John hammering away on his anvil flattening out the silver then soldering it together making beautiful handcrafted sterling silver pieces.There was nothing like it anywhere . He was one of a kind as was his jewelry. Quickly outgrowing the little shed he moved to "the barn" on route 7 Ridgefield, Connecticut. featuring local pottery and other crafts from artisans around the state. but the focal point was the amazing brilliance of his creativity with stones from all over the world incredibly beautiful picture jasper |
