Wayne Barker Jr.

Wayne Barker Jr.
Wayne Barker Jr has been playing music for the biggest part of his life, as all performer's he started out playing in the club's and bar's around his hometown, and after a little break of four year's in Vietnam, Wayne came home with an entire new perspective on life and death and his music, it took him several year's to get the player's together for the music and vision he had been dwelling on and how to approach it all where his music might possibly help somebody that had been through what Wayne himself had been through, having gotten to that point came the name of the band,
which he wanted it to represent his dream, so thusly the name Vettz came to life, it started in 1980 a little slow at first, but then Wayne wrote a song titled the Wall, which became the official song of the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington D.C, The
memorial was dedicated By Wayne and his Band Vettz, and the Honor of being enshrined in the Smithsonian Institute was bestowed upon him, soon afterwards the same song dedicated The Nam Vet's Memorial in Australia, by this time Wayne had released another 3 song's all of which were Patriotic, which again Wayne accomplished something he really never even set out to do, by becoming the first artist in Music history to

have released 4 singles of an Patriotic nature and all four went RIIA Certified Gold, Amazed wasn't the right word for how Wayne felt, it was more of an humbling feeling that swept over him, His fifth release was a country tune called The Hardest thing I'll ever do, again Wayne struck Gold, The recording label he was on at the time Fraternity which was and still is the oldest Independent label in America, thought that Wayne was lucky and the first four release's that he had probably cast himself as an

anthem writer and nothing else, well so year's later and awaiting one on the indie chart's which is at # 27 as of this writing will be # 27 to go Gold under his hat, not to shabby for one they thought was an patriotic writer, Wayne has also written and co-written several hit song's for other artist as well, along with touring with some of the Greatest act's the world has ever known, such as Charlie Daniel's John Kay and Steppenwolf, and just countless other's over his career, Wayne say's you will never see another show quit

like His group, Wayne was Born in Lee county Kentucky on the 27th of March in 1950, all that being said , Wayne states Hey we've just begun to play, .
