Vendor & Artist Scam Alert

Vendors Be Warned! With the rise of AI, we are also seeing an increase in scammers in the vendor events industry. If you are sent an email about paying for a booth and it doesn't seem legit, chances are it isn't. Ensure all applications and emails are from official sources, not unsolicited direct messages or personal Facebook accounts. Verify event legitimacy by checking official websites, official emails, and never make any payments until you have verified the information directly with the event organizers.  

Common red flags include: "Last minute vendor cancellation" emails from unknown senders, surprise events, pressured/fast timelines, no verifiable phone number, sender's email/name is unrelated to the event, fishy payment requests, & not linking to the event's actual website but to their Facebook event link.
