These were the parting words of General Lewis Armistead to his dear friend, General Winfield Scott Hancock, as they went off to war, Hancock to the Union and Armistead to the Confederacy. Joe Jared has worked for the Department of Rehabilitation Services in Oklahoma City since 1975. He has written two historical novels, The Ransom of the Rune Writer and The Spirit Quest of the Thunder Clan.
