Hello, welcome to Howlin' Torch Studio. My name is Anita, I am born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and have been making jewelry since 1985. I am self taught despite being the only woman of three silversmiths in the Hispanic side of my family.
Through the 90's I worked in various jewelry manufacturing shops learning different aspects of the industry. All the while I honed my skills and collected tools for my trade.
My style is very eclectic. I draw inspiration from everywhere. Nature, the seasons, my heritage and traditions. My mood and the energy of the stones or embellishments I use play a big part in the direction a piece or collection will take also.
Heirloom quality can be found in much of my work. There is a very rewarding feeling one gets when they know they are producing art that will be there for generations to come.
