We are a family owned & operated business that has actually been in the meat industry for over 30 years. My dad & I ( Bob Reed) use to own a little butcher shop in Downey, Ca. called THE COUNTRY BUTCHER. It was here that my dad would carefully train me to become his apprentice leading to finally landing the lead butcher role as well as running the butcher shop.
It was also in our butcher shop where our receipes for our BEEF JERKY would be created. My grandfather, (Guy Oakes) experimented with a variety of fresh spices, ingredients & meats until he found the right taste & type of meat that would be far different from any other jerky out there.
Eight years after we sold the buthcer shop which had been in business for over 35 years, I decided to " Why not produce & sell an item that had been so sucessful at the butcher shop & open my own BEEF JERKY company."
Today my wife & I along with our 4 daughters started our jerky company in January 2011 called NOW THAT'S KILLER JERKY!
