40+ years experience of handcrafted Louisiana folk art. Aaw Shucks Art Education and Gifts Inc., was organized in April 2016, however these crafts have been done in my family for generations. I was taught folk arts by my mother, Geraldine King Robertson. As a child, I learned to make all sorts of dolls, baskets and do chair weaving. Now, I am using Art to nurture creativity in children and revitalize it in adults. Art soothes our minds and hearts. Part of the Proceeds earned are used to educate in the Arts and bridge retiring artist with a willing apprentices.
