I am a self-taught artist living in northern Virginia who works almost exclusively in oils. I mostly favor landscapes and architectural subjects, but I paint other things from time to time. Recently, I've enjoyed doing some paintings of North American birds. Although I have been painting since 1977, I began to market my paintings at local shows and over the Internet only a short time ago. Selling a painting is kind of like finding a good home for a kitten -- it gives me a warm feeling when people like my work well enough to want it hanging on their walls.
