I have been an artisan and crafter for many years and have worked in a variety of mediums. Retired after 40 years as a physical therapist in the Seattle area, I returned to my home state of Connecticut and to my creative self. With a secondary degree in residential design, I have a strong sense of color and am inspired by nature's beauty, mostly here and the Pacific northwest. I came up with the idea to “upcycle” bottle lights when I saw wine bottles used in an indoor watering system. Labels were faded and peeling and I knew they could be more attractive. I started decoupaging the bottles and when I held them up to the light, they reflected such a vivid array of colors, I was reminded of stained glass. I decided to light them from within using bottle lights and they glowed brilliantly. They were beautiful, whether turned on or off. These UPCYCLE LIGHTS can be used for decoration, night lights, low light settings, romantic evenings, college dorms, and any holiday or special event. I've even placed them along my front sidewalk where they sparkle brightly and colorfully, attracting the nearby neighbors to enjoy them.
