The Beckoning Cat - Hand Crafted Jewelry, Stewartsville, NJ
I love creating items with my hands. I have created costumes by sewing, embroidered pictures and personal items, crocheted and knitted gifts for family and friends and in my spare time, sing in my church choir. My motto is "You never stop learning." I love learning new skills and crafts. Working with beads and wire are my latest passion. Kumihimo (Japanese braiding) is addictive and I am learning all about viking knitting, which is working with fine wire to create items that look like they were knit with traditional knitting needles.
I use quality materials only since I believe that if I am going to spend my time creating an item, it should be the best that I can make, using the best materials I can afford. My prices reflect the cost to me of the raw materials as well as the value of my time. I consider myself a wholesale crafter since comparable items at upscale shops and boutiques are much, much higher in price.
