Anjie Nero, South Holland, IL
Anjie Nero was born and raised in Chicago. She has an appreciation for various forms ;of music including gospel, R&B, classical, rock, and house music. Now former worship leader with Shekinah Glory Ministry (SGM), Anjie Nero still is known for an energy that is contagious, a sound full of power, and a heart for God's people. This can be felt through her lead vocals on SGM's “Clap Shout”, “I Need More”, “Worthy” (second lead) and “Trust Me”.
In addition to leading worship, she wrote “Clap Shout”, “I Need More”, “Let's Go”, “Hallelujah Praise”, and “Forever Praise” recorded on various SGM CDs. Moreover, earned two RIAA Gold Records as a songwriter on SGM's projects.
Anjie's gift also allowed her to travel to a number of cities within the United States as well as abroad including London, Canada, Barbados, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. In fact, she recorded with Renascer Church of Sao Paulo and was a lead vocal on the song Santo é o Cordeiro.
While most know her as the “Clap Shout Girl”, “Get Loud” reveals more about her praise to God. What she gives God looks unique and she gives it without shame with all her might. People will hear her appreciation to God for what she has seen, experienced, and for where she is for this season in her life. Anjie hopes that her music continues to influence God's people through meaningful music that touches the heart and empowers the spirit.
