The jewelry hardly feels to be made by my hand
and frequently seems from another time, another land,
although not to be gauged with ancient hourglass sand.
Wood, bone and mud beads predominate.
There are semi-precious stones designed to accelerate,
to a more modern flare
you may want to stare
or catch your breath with sighs
at something that has caught now alert eyes.
PAINTING - - - is harder to pin down
Getting older has softened my need to make provocative statements. Today I WANT to say something in a more "profoundly" beautiful manner. So many wonderful moments get lost. This worlds open spaces won't always be our special places. Not that I limit myself to landscape-I can't describe limits when subject matter varies so widely and I am unsure where this non-linear path is leading me...
