My name is Tamao Nakayama. I am a minimalist abstract artist. I paint and sculpt. I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Even though I've lived in the US for a long time now, I'm still deeply influenced by the Japanese aesthetic, and the belief that 'less is more'. My artwork welcomes the observer to complete the work with their own imagination, not just observing the piece, but communicating with it.
