The party will feature fair trade jewelry, scarves and handbags crafted in Costa Rica and Mali, West Africa. Peace Corps volunteers in country, working with disadvantaged artisans, assist in setting market prices that justly compensate the artisan and elevate their family income levels. We will also have waterproof camel milk baskets from semi-nomadic communities in northern Kenya. The handmade jewelry is unique in that it utilizes seeds, coffee and coconut from the Central Valley and West Coast of Costa Rica.
