Hi,
I'm an artist in Yakima with a small studio. I enjoyed exploring different paint media, but I've settled on acrylic painting now. I enjoy painting in a bit of a free style of flowers and landscapes.
I was educated after High School at Shoreline College and the University of Washington in Seattle.
After higher education I started my own Christian Preschool and Childcare centers, first in Seattle for several years, then in 1984 moved this to Yakima, Washington. It was a great experience working in early childhood education with a focus on learning through song, music, stories and art.
During this time I was married and had the blessing of having two wonderful sons, who now, along with their wonderful families are still a blessing to me.
During my late High School years and University years I took various classes in art education, portrait drawing and floral painting, but had to let that go by the wayside as I was busy with my family and business obligations. Now in retirement I'm enjoying having the time to paint as well as do a bit of gardening and traveling with my husband Russell. ( I sign my paintings R.
