27th Anniversary Aurora Fossil Festival will be on May 22-24, 2020 with the majority of activities occurring on Saturday, May 23rd. This year is special, as it will be the first year that the festival will be managed by the Aurora Fossil Museum!
Friday, May 22nd:
Opening ceremonies begin at 6pm
Saturday, May 23rd:
Food and crafts all day along with a parade at 10:30am. Come early, the festival starts at 8am with a 5K Fossil Run!
Enjoy fossil displays, paleontology talks, digging for fossils, rides and games, lawn mower pulls, and bus tours of the phosphate mine facilities (weather permitting)!
Come to the auction held in the Museum Learning Center at 4pm on Saturday May 23rd to bid on a variety of donated item. Proceeds of this event support the nonprofit Aurora Fossil Museum!
Enjoy wonderful live music throughout the day and into the evening.
