My sound? I guess it's like swing that's had some of its polish rubbed off, been run through the blues mill, driven down a country road and rolled around in the bluegrass. It's equal parts Tom Waits, Merle Haggard and Doc Watson. I call it Hillbilly Swing because there's a lot of hillbilly in it. Also some lounge lizard, bravado, heartbreak, mojo -- the usual...and the unusual.
