Bastrop Area Off-Road & Recovery (B.A.O.R.) all started when the massive winter storm hit Texas in February 2021. Jason got in his truck on Valentine's Day and drove up and down TX-71 in Bastrop, TX pulling people up the hills that have iced over. Jason created a Facebook group that afternoon to put the word out that he was out there to help. That group quickly grew and now has over 1,800 members and 13 recovery vehicles in less than 2 weeks of its creation and it is continuously growing. What started out as just wanting to pull people to safety quickly turned into helping with providing water, food and basic needs for the people of the Bastrop area and meeting a great group of like minded men and women that make up B.A.O.R.'s recovery team today. B.A.O.R. has now developed into a nonprofit organization providing the public with off-road vehicle recovery, immediate and short-term disaster relief and support to other public charities through fund raising events. We're not just a charity organization. We are a family. We take care of each other as well as the people of the Bastrop area.
Our Mission: To provide community support and provide charitable contributions to local charities and our Veterans.
