I am self taught in traditonal Native American beadwork. This is where it all began: moccasins, ceremonial rattles and dance fans, leather pouches and my own northern style buckskin regalia. Over the years it has evolved into a contemporary line of gemstone jewelry. However, I have still held on to the 'old ways' by incorporating the same techniques of beadwork (for instance the edge beadwork you see on my pieces is the same stitch used on tops of cedar or tobacco bags). This is what I call bridging the past to the present.
