Mary Blocksma, author/illustrator of Great Lakes nature books for adults and children, also handmakes silky scarves and wool hats for an appealing, colorful display of both hard (paper) and soft (fabric) materials. Mary Blocksma has been a self-supporting writer and artist for over 30 years. Many of her 40+ books can be found in Michigan libraries. Those in print will be offered at a discount at her show appearances. Also many watercolor Michigan nature cards and Great Lakes watercolors will be available. Mary Blocksma's books have been celebrated on Reading Rainbow PBS program, Junior Literary Guild, Quality Paperback BookClub, Scientific American Best Books for Children, Reading Is Fundamental, and many state library Best Books lists.
