Belle Bottom Blues is the brainchild of long-time friends, songwriters, and musicians Chik Curtis and Nica Watson--both natives of Tennessee.
Growing up in the South, both share a love of most things southern— sweet tea, fried okra, bluegrass music, running barefoot in the grass, fresh tomatoes, dogs, and muscle cars to name a few. They also share a love of music, fashion – mostly anything 70s – and thrift stores.
In 2014 after constantly being approached by others inquiring where to buy apparel similar to theirs, Chik and Monica decided to start selling some of their vintage wear to like-minded individuals who wanted to dress fashionably, but not look like everyone else. From there, Belle Bottom Blues was born.
Selling their wares from a vintage 1975 Chevy Van, Monica and Chik may be found at festivals all across the South. They also opened an online boutique on their website (as well as on Etsy) to sell to those who want to dress in the BBB style, but can't make it to Tennessee.
