Jianna Zhang is an associate professor at Western Washington University since 2002 after completing postdoc at Waterloo University specialized in AI. Jianna volunteers to teach children and adults traditional Chinese dances. She formed the dance company "Bellingham Silk Road Dancers" in 2005. As the founder and artistic director of Bellingham Silk Road Dancers, she choreographs and teaches a variety of Chinese dances. The company has performed for audiences in Bellingham, Seattle, and Vancouver. Jianna performs with Vancouver Korean Dance Society. She shares her love and passion for Chinese culture through teaching and dance performances.
