I have always loved jewelry and last summer decided to take a beginning beading class offered at one of my local bead shops. At the end of the class I had made my first piece of jewelry; a bracelet. I was hooked, and purchased the basic tools, supplies and beads to create my own designs. Three weeks went by and I hadn't done a thing. The problem was I didn't seem to have the time for a hobby and the tools and supplies I had purchased were collecting dust in the closet. I finally decided that if I wanted to have a hobby I was going to have to make the time for it, so I did.

I continued to practice basic beading and after a month or so I felt I was ready to move on to the next course which was working with wire making wire wrapped loops. This technique can be used on an assortment of pieces such as earrings, necklaces and bracelets. I sent the next couple of months practicing the wire wrap loop technique and by Thanksgiving was pretty good at it. I decided I wanted to give my hand-made jewelry as gifts for Christmas and spent the entire Thanksgiving week (which I had off work) working on projects. I was so pleased with my results that I was wearing all the gifts I made up until the time they needed to be boxed up and sent on their way.

With the encouragment of my husband and his help I developed a web site that started out  primarily as a blog site, but one thing led to another and now I've got an on-line store.   It's such a thrill smile to see someone with one of my pieces around their neck, wrist or ankle.  They always look so pretty on!
