My family and I live in a Raleigh suburb, but my roots are in rural Georgia, where I was born and raised and where "waste not want not" was our way of life. It's where I learned to appreciate the handmade aesthetic of my grandmother's scrap quilts and the sweet little matching rompers my mother sewed for me and my sisters. At blinking toad workshop, we carry on the tradition of handmade, and while we don't have any sweet little rompers (I never quite mastered the sewing machine), we do offer a variety of goods made from remnant or reclaimed materials, like handbound books, handmade paper, and wood cutting boards. We also make what we think are some of the best natural cold process soaps you'll find anywhere.
