At Bonnie 'n Claude Photography Claude is the photographer, Bonnie is the inspiration - and sometimes "boss". We are die-hard travelers - 99% "over the road", therefore almost entirely within the borders of the USA. We plan on visiting Canada in the coming year or two with emphasis on the Maritime Provinces, southern Alberta and BC. Time of the year generally dictates what direction we will travel since Landscapes are my photographic passion.
Ideas for subjects are generally spontaneous but often inspired by things like a news article, a travel article, the time of year, or the work of someone else. We are not shy about heading north in the winter or south in the summer - whatever it takes to find something of photographic interest. Landscapes are my passion. Studio photography holds no interest for me. We have decent equipment and my goal for each shot is to produce an image that requires little or no digital manipulation beyond cropping and minor color or focus tweaking. High on our priority list is to have fun on our trips. A particularly good and fun trip happened the late spring we started from Deming NM and counted and photographed every crossing of the Continental Divide on the way to Glacier NP. This resulted in forty-nine crossings and dozens of great images in a bit less than three weeks.
To summarize, Bonnie and I are just a couple of old folks in old vehicles with newer cameras looking for interesting stuff to photograph, and along the way, have a good time. Several friends of ours, seeing all the images hanging on our walls, have mentioned to us that other people might like to have some of these pics - so that's why we're part of FestivalNet now.
