I'am Carol Mckinzey and I make premium leather goods from kangaroo leather. I hand-cut and hand-stitch each of my creations with careful attention to detail. I take pride in everything I make, and build each one to last. Having, trained, and shown horses for over 30 years. I wanted tack that would look great and stand up to a 1000 pound animal. My braiding business started 20 years ago when I began looking for a material to make a custom bridle for a horse. I wanted a material that could last a lifetime, was tough like cowhide, but was lighter and supple for braiding and working by hand. I also wanted a natural material. After a lot of research, the obvious choice was kangaroo leather. The "roo leather" was even better than I had imagined. Besides making horse tack for years (headstalls, romal reins, split reins). I have filled orders for belts, bracelets, dog collars, key fobs, necklaces, leashes watch-chains, holsters, you name it. Braiding leather goods for me is like training horses and dogs. You need lots of patience and attention to details. This results in a balanced and fully functional end product. Whether it be a horse or dog who understand their job so that they can do it happily for their life, or is a custom braided roo leather product that a client has ordered and can use and enjoy for years to come--I take great pride in details of a job well done. Sincerely, Carol Mckinzey
