Carpe DIEM Designs by Joyce, Wimberley, TX
I have been making jewelry for several years and have been selling my pieces at various Art Festivals and Trade Shows for over two years now. I am a regular at Gruene Market Days which is a juried artisan show.
To handcraft my jewelry, I place collage art images or custom photos that are computer printed on acid free paper between two pieces of glass. I then solder the edges together with lead free solder material that contains a high amount of sterling silver. I adorn the jewelry with additional bead work depending on the need of the piece I am working on. For instance, I may attach some bead work at the bottom of a pendant that can be worn on a ribbon, ball chain or silver necklace or I may add several smaller pendants to one of my handmade beaded necklaces or bracelets.
Each item I create is reversible. In essence, you get two pieces of jewelry in one which can be worn on either side with different images! My custom photo pendants are reversible as well!
