I'm a 4th generation quilter, been painting on and off for 30 years, and made modern macrame jewelry for over 20 years. Jewelry making is a thing of the past now, due to a combination of absolute burnout and an injury in my wrist that resulted in the removal of a ligament six years after a bad fall. I've lost dexterity in that hand, can write for maybe a couple minutes, had to give up drawing and coloring line art, and deal with chronic pain quickly.
Now, I make quilts. The smallest are decorative pins and magnets at 1.5x1.5 inches, and the largest thus far is a queen size quilt. My special is home decor, namely things to decorate a dining room and a home's walls. I do make larger items, and have become known for my glass stained quilts and use of color.
