I took my first oil painting class at age 12. I attended Rhode Island College fine arts program in 1994-1995. I operated a business in Buzzards Bay, Ma where I sold antiques and consignment crafts in 1998. It was there that I was approached by the Army Corps of Engineers to paint seagulls on the Cape Cod canal to deter seagulls from dropping shells on the walkway in 2000. there are 70 seagull paintings there today.
In 2002, I opened a home based farm stand I ran for 10 years. I sold fruits, vegetables and plants, but it was a way to display and sell my artwork as well.
It was at that time, Ted Bruschi of the New England Patriots stopped by to ask me to paint a large, 3 piece, train set that his boys played on in his backyard..
I have also have painted stage sets and painting scenes in homes and businesses. i have sold over 350 "Welcome Slates" over the years as slate painting became my specialty.
I am talented and adverse with my hands. I have been building with wood, and indulge in sewing and wool rug braiding as well well. As a retiree, I am gifted with time and painting is what I do with it.
