It seems I read a lot of paperback romance novels and was getting frustrated when you get to that awesome part and you have to put your book down because you have somewhere to go? For me, I'm embarrassed to read these type of books in public...especially with my 2 little ones with me.
I thought wouldn't it be cool to have a cover that looks like a book cover? A little confusing...but the covers I designed look like a book. Title on the front and spine, and a "summary" on the back. Camouflage for a book!
The summary is a couple paragraphs I specifically wrote to tie in with the title. Mostly inspirational...but one is environmental. Just a little slice of wisdom from me :)...
The covers are assembled and easy to apply to any standard paperback book. Literally takes one minute! Nice snug fit so pesky onlookers would have a tough time realizing you have a book cover on...
So that's why I created these covers...I manufactured them here in the US, would have been a lot cheaper over seas but I believe in supporting the recovery of our own nation. I also am an aspiring successful business owner. My children are my world and as a single mom I cherish my days with them. I would prefer to be able to work from home so I can still be involved with their school and see them as much as I can when I do have them.
So that's pretty much all of it. I had a great time designing these, the whole process has been a huge challenge but I've learned a ton and I won't give up...
