I got into crafts quite by accident. One year I made my mother a big stuffed pumpkin wearing a witches hat and showed it to a friend of mine who worked at bank in La Jolla, CA. My friend asked if she could keep the pumpkin at her window for a few days and I let her. When I came back to pick up the pumpkin, my friend presented me with 20 orders and an obsession was born! After that, I realized not only could I make decorations and other items, but that I could also make extra money doing something that I loved.
In addition to selling my items at craft fairs I also compete in the "Help a Child Smile" contest at the San Diego County Fair. My dinosaurs have won ribbons. This year I plan on entering my Quiet Book.
