Creative Art Work, Norwalk, CT
My name is Jo-Ann Thompson-Claybourne, I reside in Norwalk Connecticut. I started drawing at age 5, and now teach after school art programs in Fairfield County, as well as being an art instructor in senior centers. I attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, NY where I expanded my experience in Sketching, Drawing, Painting and Mixed Media. I have been gifted with the vision to create new and exciting pieces of artwork using different media. I enjoy exploring creativity to its fullest, each time I create a piece of artwork I am driven to enhance my technique; using feathers, fabric, wood, dried flowers... The combination of vibrant colors and mixed media gives each piece of artwork a life of its own. My commitment to explore my heritage has won me not only regional acclaim but also the attention of national collectors. Freedom: The word that expresses my passion for my art, freedom of expression: of movement; of life. My Artwork is a reflection of that passion and of creativity in technique. My desire is to experiment with materials and a flow of movement, which adds to the visual excitement. Creating Art is My Passion, My Love, and My Freedom.
