A self taught artist, I have been painting off and on throughout my life and I truly believe art is a reflection of an individuals taste and personality. This is particularly true in my paintings. Not only is your personal taste reflected, but so are you! My painted mirrors began when I was looking for something other than the traditional canvas. I loved how part of the mirror would take on a different look depending on the amount of light shining on it. Thus began my obsession with mirrors.
The subject is painted on the mirror using enamel paint and the frame is sanded, painted and sprayed with a clear enamel for protection. The frame has a felt backing, hardware, signed, numbered and ready to hang.
Because I find mirrors at yard sales, thrift stores and antique malls, each one is unique and, when
completely finished, one of a kind and truly does "reflect" your personal taste in art.
