About

Crosses Across

Member Since: March 28, 2014
I was laid off of work and was trying and trying  to find s job. I used to do a little wood carving as a hobby so i thought it might be a great  way to relieve some sress. I walked through the woods and found some wood that had fallen from a tree and stsrted just carving absent mindedly.  Before i knew it i had a cross in my hans where the forgotten branch had been.  I ended up carving two more like the first, sanded each to make tnem smooth, then painted them. My fiance saw them and told me i should post tnem for sale on  facebook and see if anyone would buy them,  People got excited over them and in less than 24 hours it was sold.  People were buying as fast as I was making them!  We looked into art festivals and craft shows and are  trying to make this our full time occupations. We are wanting to branch out farther and travel longer distace to the fairs.
