We create hand-made sweetgrass baskets. It is an ancient African art form. This craft came to the United States when it was still a British colony. Brought to this country in the early 1500's with captured west African slaves, the traditional utilitarian purpose for these baskets, was for rice cultivation. Through the years, this craft has been past down from generation to generation. We create fruit & bread trays, flower baskets, traditional fanner baskets & storage baskets and a host of other unique designs. We also make special order baskets.
