I started making jewelry about 20+ years ago as a sideline to my nursing career. We moved to Key West in 2006 and I opened my first store on Lazy Way Lane, right across the lane from Jimmy Buffets recording studio! I got to sit under the palm trees and string my beads in this fabulous setting for about 8 years.... it was part of my amazing journey in life! I moved back to Michigan to take care of my elderly parents.... who have both passed on. During the pandemic period I got interested in glass fusion and I now have 4 kilns to play with! I'm having so much fun working in this medium..... I can't stop making great pieces of wearable art! So... I had a studio built for me by some Amish neighbors... small, but sufficient.... and that's where I spend a lot of my days! The name, Dancing Donkey Studio came about because of my 2 miniature donkeys.... and now my goats are jealous, so we built a Tiki Bar and had to name it The Giggling Goats Social Club! Down on the farm...... ! So, I'm into JEWELRY DESIGN using Glass fusion and Beads from around the world to create some very unique and fabulous pieces! I am open to the public... but I'm in the country on a dusty dirt road that not too many people travel down.... so I need to find some fresh avenues to reach people that will enjoy what I have to show them! I do have a store on Etsy that I just started recently....
