Gayleen Plakunov had always been taking pictures. After moving into her new home in the woods, that habit became a greater fascination as she discovered the wildlife and natural beauty that surrounded her.
From the first visit by twin fawns on move-in day, to subsequent encounters with white-tailed deer herds, red foxes, members of the buteo family (red-tailed, red-shouldered and broad-winged hawks) and the songbirds that frequented the garden feeders… It soon became evident that a camera phone just would not do to capture the view of the natural world as she saw it.
