The Reclamation Project arose out of the eclectic-but-rich music scene of Snohomish, Washington, where on any given evening one can find a variety of public music performances in bars, restaurants and theaters.  Patrick Thayer, the band's lead guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, hosted open mic events in Snohomish for decades, and that brought him into contact with numerous talented musicians, but more importantly, players who shared a similar taste in music and profound joy in performing for local audiences.  It was at these open mics that Patrick met Jeff “Happy Feet” Crookall, rhythm guitar, harmonica, and vocals; Rod Ashton, bass; and Dean “Deano” Rappleye; percussion and vocals.  These four have coalesced into an energetic, fun-loving band that has steadily developed a devoted following in Greater Snohomish County and beyond.  Best characterized as “Americana”, the music of The Reclamation Project is influenced by timeless acts like The Grateful Dead and The Band, as well as newer groups like Railroad Earth, and appeals to music lovers of all ages.  Primarily playing many original tunes written by Patrick and others written by Jeff, the band's style ranges from fast tempos suitable for dancing, to evocative ballads, and everything in between.  The Reclamation Project recently released its third CD, “Somethin' Going On,” a collection of new original music recorded at local Sleeping Bulldog Studio, and sales have been brisk with many buyers returning to purchase additional copies for family and friends.  But like many popular bands, The Reclamation Project is best enjoyed at a live performance where spontaneous jams, medleys, and recreations of classic rock-n-roll hits steal the show.
