My work is primarily original hand painted clothing and accessories, painted freehand without patterns or stencils, machine washable. Also drawings of dogs, cats, and other animal themes. Heat transfers consisting of my own original designs that often combine my photos with my art. Greeting cards and other items printed with my designs.
I have been creating hand painted clothing for more than 25 years: 15 years on the island of St.John, USVI, and 12 years in my hometown and current location, Winston-Salem, NC. I work in a studio in the Downtown Arts District. I sell items at the studio and in my shop on Etsy. I specialize in custom work, as I rarely have a design already painted on a whole range of sizes.
I've been drawing all my life, ever since I could hold a crayon. At one time, pen and ink was my medium of choice. Nowadays I tend to work more in graphite, colored pencil, and pastel. I love drawing dogs and cats and other animals. Most of my pet drawings are realistic on paper, more cartoon-like when hand painted freehand on clothing.
