About California Welcome Center
The Yucca Valley California Welcome Center is managed by the Desert Regional Tourism Agency (DRTA). We are one of 21 centers in all of California. Stop by our visitor center and one of our friendly ambassadors will be happy to help you plan your visit with free maps, suggestions on places to see, as well as where to eat and stay.
The California Welcome Center of Yucca Valley is proud to announce its 6th annual statewide art contest. This event is open to all eligible California residents. Eligible California artists are invited to apply
AWARDS:
One winner from each of 4 categories will be chosen to showcase and sell their artworks in the California Welcome Center for 12 months. The winning piece will be 10% comission, Any additional art for the duration of the 12 months will be at 25% commission. Artist may replace or add sold artwork during the 12 month period as well.
ELIGIBILITY:
California Residents only. Must be at least 18 years or older. Cannot be affiliated within California Welcome Center of Yucca Valley employee, staff, judge or their family members. Cannot be a current artist on display at the center.
ENTRY GUIDELINES:
Entry Fee: $35.00 1st entry /$25 per additional piece and is non-refundable.
Entry Limit: 5 artworks per artist
Entry Form: Please fill out the form completely. Send its a current copy of your driver's license or ID, and photographed art.
Artwork: Only recent artworks (within the last 3 years) are eligible.
