Dzimbanhete Arts Interactions [DAI] is an artists’ resource center and meeting place, situated along Bulawayo road, some 25km outside Harare. DAI, lies between the Lion Cheetah Park and the Snake World, almost hidden away from the Highway, between massive rocks, away from all urban and city disturbances renders it an ideal venue for artistic and cultural endeavors.
DAI had been functioning for almost 3 years and we had artists coming to work for periods of two weeks and more, working along engineers, technicians and other professionals from different vocations. It was, by public recommendation, particularly artists who required our services that a decision to officiate the venue was reached.
Professional artists, mid-career artists and art students frequent DAI center for assistance on their projects and for the wonderful creative energy that’s experienced at this center. Also in light to the mandate of DAI, technical expertise that is readily available makes it a center of choice for innovative and experimental work.
