Earthly Treasures Paradise Ca
Earthly Treasures consists of Ian and Kathy Steenson. While being stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Montana, Idaho and Washington State in the 1970s and 1980s, Ian became interested in rock hounding/lapidary work. The Pacific Northwest was the perfect place to find interesting rocks just waiting to be opened and turned into unique handcrafted jewelry. A life time hobby blossomed into a "mom and pop" business in 2009 while the Steensons, now full-time RVers, rekindled their love of nature and all it has to offer.
Earthly Treasures showcases the beauty of natural stone by careful cutting and polishing of rock from around the world. Ian, our craftsman, uses his artful eye to evaluate the natural colors and designs of each stone to decide how best to shape and display the natural creations. The stones are most often used as pendants, but sometimes become bracelets, earrings, etc. After Ian has completed polishing and mounting the stone pendents, Kathy attends to affixing proper weight and length sterling silver chains. It is also Kathy's job to ensure the jewelry is displayed properly to showcase the beauty of the natural stone. She is also the salesperson, sharing the story of Earthly Treasures, and ensuring every customer understands how the treasures are hand-crafted, and that each customer leaves with the perfect piece of natural stone jewelry to fit their taste and personality.
