eco Urban Timber, LLC, was formed in response to the expected arrival of the Emerald Ash Borer in the Chippewa valley. Over the next decade, our city is expecting to cull 40,000 ash trees due to the arrival of this invasive species. The city was looking for a more sustainable solutions, and eco Urban Timber LLC was created to address that need. eco Urban Timber's boutique milling process transforms the unwanted logs of the urban forest into unique handmade hardwood products that reflect on the history of the Chippewa Valley region.
