Ellen L Johnson, Hawthorne, FL
I have been making & selling my craft & artist & sewing creations since I sold my first sock monkey at the age of eleven for $2 to my all thumbs best friend in Cleveland. I have been painting, making jewelry items and crocheting about as long. I'm a spunky grandma who lives in a rural area of northeastern Florida, near the town of Hawthorne, but in Putnam County. Besides making things for fun & profit, I am part of my local volunteer fire department, currently as a board member. I have some valid fire credentials but currently, as a board member, do not run calls. Since 2007 I have had five surgeries to attempt to fix my body after a long stint as caregiver for my late husband and my for mother. Thus I have been limiting my sales to my website and only doing one or two outside shows a year. I look forward to getting back to showing outside again as my strength improves so that I can set up my tent again. I have lived all over the country, from San Jose, California to upstate New York, including the midwest in Indiana, Ohio & Illinois before I came home to this place I'd never been before to be near my mother as she aged. I am retired so have lots of time to play with wire, fabric and paint creating things for myself, my family, my friends & people who take a liking to my stuff & choose to honor me by purchasing it.
