I started machine embroidery in 2006 and started making quilts and sewing other items at that time also. I had sewn in my younger years also. I started heat-pressing designs on t-shirts and home-made aprons about 15 years ago. I have crocheted since I was a teenager. I have participated in local craft fairs over the past 10 or so years. I make a lot of things: quilts from king size down to baby size; I embroider on towels and pillowcases (I do use store-bought pillowcases.); I also make pillowcases, sometimes to match quilts, sometimes not; I sew facial tissue holders, tote and purse-type bags, also walker/bicycle bags; I sew table runners and table covers; I make aprons (and this year started embroidering on some purchased full length white aprons); I also make placemats and adult bibs; I heat transfer designs onto aprons (my home-made aprons so far) and t-shirts, sweatshirts and recently started putting the designs on quilt fabric to incorporate pictures of dogs, cats and many other items into quilts; I crochet scarves (straight, curly and circular, some with pockets); I also crochet hand warmers, large size and baby blankets, hats of all sizes, lap blankets, shawls and shrugs, plus I crochet tops on a folded regular size dishtowel with a button for hanging ( they get the whole towel instead of just half).
