Esther Jobrack Fine Art, Livermore, CA
I have been a fine artist for over 30 years in watercolor, graphite and pen & ink. My main subjects are of western themes, landscape and still life. I specialize in traditional and evocative images of every day subjects.
I believe that "Art is a Snapshot of the Essence", and it has become my mission statement. I hope to pull on those warm of memories of watching old westerns on a Saturday afternoon. Or, of the dry hot scent of the rodeo, with dust coating every thing.
I portray the detail of flowers in a crystal vase, and how each petal is part of the whole harmony. I fill in a complicated ink drawing with juicy color, making your mouth water to sample my persimmons.
My color flows out of the brush spontaneously to illustrate the last moments of the day over the ocean, or the angry energy of a storm throwing itself at an old snag of a tree, yet again.
