I came to Alaska in 1972 with the help of the US Air Force. After military service my wife and I decided to make Alaska our home. I spent the years in various sales positions and retired in 2013.
I have been a wood turner since 2000, and a scroll sawing since 2007. My first shop was in a 2 car garage which I shared with the the family car. In 2012 we moved to Palmer where I was able to set up a shop in our walkout basement. Since retirement I have spent my summers in our garden, and my winters turning and scrolling and working with the Palmer Lions Club on various community projects.
My medium of choice for my turnings are wood and acrylics. I am a member of the American Association of Woodturners, Alaska Woodturners Association, and Scrollsaw Association of the World.
